Hey everybody. Thanks for looking around. I'm J. Natalie or in all actuality, Jessica Natalie Rice.  I went to USF for Fine Arts and I’m looking to go to a good college soon that specializes in art.   I learned the basics from school but most of what I know I’ve learned from fellow artists who had the time and patience to tutor me.   Those people plus some others are included in my links so if you’d like to see some really amazing art look there.  I live in Florida in the Pinellas County/Hillsborough County area and I do a lot of art around the place.   I delve in all realms of art.  I move from medium to medium. Style to style. Genre to genre.  I’m always looking to improve myself.  I’m only at the beginning.   I paint, draw, sculpt, write, sing, dance, read, eat, sleep, and do photography.  I’ll pretty much do anything as long as it’s creative.  I believe all people should express themselves.  That doesn’t necessarily mean I think every canvas with paint on it belongs in a museum, but everyone should have art in their life.  I remember once thinking like all others do, that art is a competitive arena and it’s a small market.  Then I realized that art is incorporated into every part of our lives whether it’s the pattern on your couch cushions to your cell phone design to park benches to almost everything you encounter day to day.  We live in a world of communication through aesthetic. An image can change the way you think the same way a book can and in a fraction of the time.  If we are going to communicate through vision though it’s important that art remains communicable so that advertisements are not the only images we can comprehend anymore.  I love art. And I love being able to relate to it.   I have a tendency to ramble on… like I’m doing now.  So I’ll say adieu and go back to the drawing board.
